The International Society of Ethnobiology is happy to invite applications from Emerging Ethnobiologists to participate in the biennial pre-congress in Morocco. The student pre-congress will be held May 11-14, 2024 in the Zerken School Complex in the days leading up to the International Society of Ethnobiology Congress May 15-19, 2024 in Marrakech, Morocco. The goal for us is to network through sharing our research and receiving mentorship in the field of ethnobiology before attending the 2024 Congress together. Mentorship activities will include a variety of speakers and workshops with leading ethnobiologists, guidance in making a team video, the creation of a policy statement in AI in ethnobiology, and joining a community leadership field trip. We hope to offer travel bursaries, but please plan to fund your travel through your own program travel bursaries or conference travel grants. To submit applications, please send no more than a page describing your student status, research, Congress participation (presentation or poster title for example), reason for wanting to attend, and plans for funding to: janelleb@athabascau.ca
